The mentoring program that accompanies the Deutschlandstipendium brings current scholarship recipients (mentees) together with professionally experienced alumni of Freie Universität (mentors). Over the course of your nine-month mentorship program, you will get guidance in making the transition from your studies to professional life in the following areas:

How can I benefit from the mentoring program?

  • Supporting you in what focus your studies should take and career planning
  • Developing specific goals and strategies for your future
  • Identifying your own skills and strengths
  • Becoming familiar with the structures and processes of professional life

Who is eligible

Scholarship recipients from all degree programs in the second phase of their studies:

  • Bachelor’s students from the third semester on
  • Master’s students from the first semester on
  • State examination students from the second half of their studies on

Call for applications for the 2023/2024 mentoring program: February 15 - March 15, 2024.

How does the mentoring program work

After receiving your application, we will check whether we can find a suitable mentor for you.

If your application is successful, you will receive further information about the mentoring program. The first meeting is initiated by the mentee. Mentor and mentee will then meet at individually determined intervals, but at least three times during the 9-month program.
