Dahlem Junior Host Program
With its own Dahlem Junior Host Program, the Dahlem Humanities Center supports young humanities scholars who would like to invite guest researchers from Germany or abroad to Freie Universität Berlin. The program enables them to host scholars whose research is of central interest to their own projects for a period of, generally, up to 8 weeks. The guests can be researchers at the same career level as their hosts or senior scholars. The funding of each guest project is flexible and complies with the needs of the applicants.
Eligible to apply are doctoral students as well as postdocs (up to 6 years after completion of PhD) who at the time of application as well as during the proposed research stay are employed at the Department of Philosophy and Humanities or the Department of History and Cultural Studies at Freie Universität Berlin, or who are members of third party funding projects in the humanities (Collaborative Research Groups (SFB), Centres for Advanced Studies in Humanities and Social Sciences (Kollegforschergruppen), Emmy Noether Program, Cluster of Excellence, etc.). Also eligible to apply are doctoral fellows in graduate schools and research trainings groups at Freie Universität Berlin and doctoral students funded by external funding institutions who are affiliated with Freie Universität Berlin.
