“Moderating, not pronouncing judgments” - this is how Joachim Heberle understands his new role. As of Juli 1st, 2014 the physicist has been appointed as the Central Ombudsperson for Good Scientific Practice by the Executive Board at Freie Universität Berlin. He has previously served as a German Research Ombudsman (Ombudsman für die Wissenschaft) by the German Research Foundation since 2014.
