Small quantities and occasional wood residues can be disposed of in the residual waste. There is currently no separate collection structure for wood waste at Freie Universität Berlin.

If you have larger quantities of wood waste, please contact the Sustainability & Energy Unit, Special Waste Management Team, directly or via your janitor to discuss the disposal method in each individual case. The same applies if you have Euro pallets or disposable pallets left over.

Just to clarify: wooden furniture and coated wood are not disposed of as waste wood, but as bulky waste.

ATTENTION: Large quantities of wood waste from the construction sector are to be disposed of by the contracted construction or trade companies in cooperation with the construction manager(s) from the Technical Department responsible for the respective construction project.
