Prof. Dr. Sofia Lesovaia, is a Professor at the Institute of Earth Sciences of the Saint Petersburg State University and spent a UAS senior research stay at FU Berlin in 2016. She focused on the subject of Modeling Biogenic Weathering of Rocks from Soils of Cold Environments. Her work is now published in “Processes and Phenomena on the Boundary Between Biogenic and Abiogenic Nature” and is based on the research conducted during her time at FU Berlin in 2016.
