Psychology

EU/EEA citizens as well as "Bildungsinländer*innen" can take part in the study aptitude test for the bachelor's degree program in psychology in the first semester. This test (German only) is voluntary, subject to a fee and can improve the chances of admission. If you wish to apply for the winter semester, you must have registered for the test by 15 February at the latest.

At Freie Universität, you can follow this Bachelor's degree with two different Master's degrees in Psychology. Anyone wishing to train as a psychotherapist in Germany must complete a Master's degree in psychology specialising in clinical psychology and psychotherapy. You can only be admitted to this Master's programme at FU if your Bachelor's degree programme includes all the content required for a Bachelor's degree programme by the Licensing Regulations for Psychotherapists. This applies to the Bachelor's degree programme in Psychology at FU Berlin.

This degree programme may only be started once at Freie Universität in the first semester. If you have started a Bachelor's degree programme in Psychology at another university, you can only apply to change to a higher semester at Freie Universität. For such a transfer, you must demonstrate certain achievements that are not offered in every other psychology degree programme. In addition, there are very often no places available in the higher semester.
