The DAAD Cairo office has successfully organized for the 12^th time in a row the Study information day, to which students of 7 German schools from all over Egypt were invited to get to know more information about the various study options that Germany offers. This years’ study information day was held on 27^th September 2018 at the German school in Dokki.

Around 400 students from grade 11 and 12 from German Schools from all over Egypt attended the study information day which started with an overview presented by the DAAD Cairo office on general information to be known about studying in Germany. This was followed by an array of presentations for the 8 attending universities. Freie Universität Berlin was represented during the study information day by the Cairo office as well as by Dr. Stefan Petri, Director of the Center for Academic Advising and Psychological Counseling at FU Berlin. Furthermore, FU Berlin was represented with a booth at which the students were able to receive individual counseling as well as information material about the university. Later on and due to the massive interest, Dr. Petri held two presentations informing the eager students of the German schools about the vast opportunities that FU Berlin offers, besides also holding a separate presentation about studying psychology at FU Berlin. To get the perspective of a student currently studying at FU Berlin, Aline Greube (Student of the 4^th year) informed the students about her experience in studying Veterinary Medicine from a students’ point of view.

The long lines of students in front of the halls waiting to get in to hear more about the different universities gave an insight about the immense interest there is to study in Germany and particularly at Freie Universität Berlin.
