The BMBF aims to fund projects promoting interactive science communication formats that provide a space for citizens to engage in dialogue on diverse aspects of freedom in education and research. The purpose of the funding guideline is to stimulate scientific communication in the field of freedom that have participatory dimension and that pursue a transdisciplinary and interdisciplinary approach and involve researchers and network partners.

Eligible applicants are state and non-state universities, non-university research and science institutions, cultural and educational institutions and comparable knowledge transfer institutions, academies, adult education centers, non-governmental organizations and municipalities (cities, counties, communities).

The funding amount is 20.000-70.000 EUR. First application deadline for project proposals (two-stage application) is 8 September 2023. Read the full announcement here.
