The New University in Exile Consortium invites to the online event "The Supression of Academic Voices" featuring the speakers Judith Butler, Michael Ignatieff, Steven Pinker, Kenneth Roth and the New School's president Donna E. Shalala. 

The webinar discusses the case of the Azerbaijani economist and member of the Consortium Dr. Gubad Ibadoghlu who was unjustly arrested on 23 July 2023 during his visit to Baku and has been kept in detention ever since.
