We are open to all who want to shape Freie Universität with their own ideas and projects in a sustainable and future-oriented way.

Participation in the various working groups and teams is highly encouraged. Whether in your own department or in the working groups on mobility, teaching, and procurement: there are numerous opportunities for participation at Freie Universität. University employees and students can develop concrete ideas and implement projects as part of the SUSTAIN IT! initiative. Almost every year, the University Days Sustainability + Climate Protection present opportunities to get involved with the on-campus activities over the course of five days. Another SUSTAIN IT! project is the edible university garden with permaculture vegetable growing. The Fridays for Climate Justice group at Freie Universität is open to energetic support. The Blooming Campus project is working to improve biodiversity on the university's spaces.
