Step 4: Fill out and submit the online application
Before filling out the application in the online application system, please read carefully all information on the pages “Apply in 4 Steps” and consult our FAQ if you have any questions regarding the online application. You can access the online application system at the bottom of this page.
Application Period:
August, 22 (10:00 am) - September, 12, 2024 (06:00 pm CEST):
Application period for students of Freie Universität Berlin who, in winter semester 2024/2025 are enrolled in the second semester or higher in their degree program at Freie Universität Berlin and for student applicants who have received their acceptance letter for the first semester (or higher) of their degree program at Freie Universität Berlin starting in winter semester 2024/2025.
By December, 31, 2024: Announcement of results via email
General Information about the Online Application
The application for the Deutschlandstipendium scholarship can only be made online and within the above mentioned application period via the online application system. This system is activated only during the application period. Applications are always only possible for the winter semester. The funding year 2024/2025 begins on October 1, 2024 and ends on September 30, 2025.
Important: The online application cannot be cached and must be completed and submitted in full without interruption. Please compile all of your application documents in advance.We recommend that you proceed with the online application in 3 steps:
- Compile the application documents
- Fill out the online application (and upload application documents)
- Submit the online application
Editing the online application after submitting is only possible within the respective application period.
We highly recommend using a laptop or desktop computer to fill out the application form (no mobile devices such as phone or tablet computer). We recommend using the Firefox as your browser.After Submission of the Online Application
You will receive a confirmation e-mail after submitting the online application. If you do not receive the confirmation e-mail, please contact deutschlandstipendium@fu-berlin.de. You can edit your application after submitting it within the application period (see above). It is not possible to edit your application outside of the application period.
We will review your application as soon as possible No selection interviews will be held. You will be informed about the selection committee's decision as soon as possible: Scholarship notifications (and rejection letters) are expected to be sent by email by the end of December 2024.
Please refrain from asking about the completeness or status of your application while waiting for the selection committee’s decision.
